0tds water is widely used in commercial water treatment both in the Dental, and medical industry. The '0 TDS' De ionising post filter produces absolute pure water with no traces of dissolved minerals, similar to distilled water. This water is required for sensitive medical apparatuses including instrument sterilising.

How Reverse Osmosis works:
This water filtration method squeezes the tap water through a semi-permeable membrane which is 0.0001 micron, 1micron=0.0001cm. It is capable of rejecting practically all particles, bacteria and organics >300 daltons molecular weight (including pyrogens). Only the water molecule will fit through the membrane, virtually all ions and dissolved molecules are retained (including salts and sugars). leaving back up to 99.9% of all contaminants ant flushing it through a seperate line down the drain. Its like having a water filtration plant under your sink!
 
Reverse osmosis is highly effective in removing several impurities from water such as total dissolved solids (TDS), asbestos, lead, flouride, other toxic heavy metals and many dissolved organics. The process will also remove chlorinated pesticides and most heavier-weight VOCs. Reverse osmosis and activated carbon filtration are complementary processes. Combining them results in the most effective treatment against the broadest range of water impurities and contaminants.
