  • Do I need to change my filters regularly?
Benefits of Regularly Replacing your Water Filter Water filters are an excellent way to provide your household with healthy, great-tasting water. However, waiting too long to replace your water filter cartridge can cause your system to stop working, and it may even become a source of bacteria or mold. Think of your filter cartridge like a sponge, collecting contaminants including bacteria, cysts, pesticides, and more that are present in tap water. If not replaced on schedule, these contaminants can build up, causing the system to stop working. Water may pass through the filter without removing any contaminants, or those contaminants may even leak into the water potentially causing health issues.

  • How does the 5 stage reverse osmosis work?
Our most powerful under sink water filter, this system uses reverse osmosis to remove up to 99.8% of sediments, chemicals, bacteria, contaminants and flush them directly down your drain. Includes alkaline filter to restore good minerals and raise PH to a healthy drinking level. The 5-stage filtration system does more than simply filter water. It uses four stages of water filtration plus a final pH adjusting cartridge to create pure alkaline drinking water. The process starts by removing tiny particles like rust, silt and insect parts. This protects your family and prevents the filtration systems from clogging. Next, the water flows through two 5-micron activated carbon block cartridges. These compressed carbon block filters remove taste and odor-causing chemicals like chlorine, chloramine and rotten odors. But that’s not all. Did you know that the chlorine disinfection process can create cancer-causing byproducts in the water? The good news is these carcinogens, called THMs, are removed by the carbon filters. The carbon cartridges also remove organic contaminants like herbicides, insecticides and industrial chemicals that seep into groundwater. The next step involves the reverse osmosis (RO) process. Here water is “squeezed” through a special membrane. Heavy metals, like lead and mercury, are removed while purified water passes through. The RO process also removes salts, fluoride, radon and benzene. Finally the purified water runs through an alkaline filter gently raising the pH to an alkaline condition. Many health benefits are associated with drinking alkaline water including weight loss, antioxidant properties and reduction in bone loss (osteoporosis). The best part is the water does not taste bitter or chalky!
